![]() But first let’s take a look at how the T-Mobile network compares to others. If you depend on a solid cell signal to communicate with others, there are some things you can do to improve your network reliability and boost your signal to acceptable levels. If you’re on T-Mobile, bad reception in buildings is not something you have to just tolerate and put up with. The good news is that you don’t have to be stuck with bad cell signal. Depending on your area and the materials used, even smaller buildings and homes can saddle you with finicky reception that can be frustrating at times. The flexibility and portability of cell phones is also their Achilles’ heel - network outages and other issues can sometimes plague your day, particularly if you spend most of your day in a building or office. Whether you work in an office or telecommute from home, or you’re just looking for more reliable calls from the warehouse or other locations, a strong cell phone signal is vital to your day to day. Both are worthless.Even with all the advances in modern cell technology and 5G becoming more of a reality every day, dropped and missed cellular calls are still common. Bottom line, this is undoubtedly the worst App I ever had on my phone (I’ve already deleted it) and will disconnect the cell booster device later today. And I can’t get back to the Cell Booster App. And now, after only 24 hours, this worthless AP tells me I haven’t used the App in awhile so it redirected me to the AT&T website where they want to sell me other products or services. I’m still connected via WiFi which is how it was connected before the cell booster. Most importantly, my phone does not suggest the cell booster is doing anything. But now, after 24 hours of supposedly working, the booster device’s Power indicator light is blinking (no idea what that means, but it’s probably not good), the Internet indicator light is lit, but none of the other indicator lights (Status, GPS, 4G Lite) are lit. I finally found this Cell Booster App and was able to walk through Registering the booster device and “turn it on”. However, when I opened the new booster’s box to install it there were NO instructions of any kind. I was very impressed when AT&T first contacted me and offered me a new signal booster to replace a 3G cell signal booster I had purchased years earlier. Do yourself a favor and call someone you know personally who knows how to set stuff up if you are having trouble. I told him I never call Tech-support because tech-support is for people who need to be asked “is your computer plugged in.” Of course I was able to get his unit up and running when tech-support couldn’t. The person I referred above called tech-support before he called me. It seems like the people who complained about this product either probably didn’t follow the directions or maybe thought they were following the directions but were doing something different. So, of course, when I walked him through the steps to de-register and re-register, then made sure he got the GPS signal, everything worked great afterwards and he got the “Activated” status in the app. Went from -120 (db) up to -60 (db) of signal strength! Amazing! I know an older gentleman who got this too and he had frustration setting it up (of course, this person was not very computer savvy, but if you ever told him that he would get angry at you and deny it). Will update if that proves to be the case. ![]() I’m going 2-stars instead of 1, because I have this little guy in the back of my brain telling me I did something wrong. Every time I open the app, it makes mean completely log in, and the CellBoost Status page just says I have all white lights. Walk in the house, it automatically connected. My old 3G AT&T Microcell worked flawlessly for a decade, and the app was easy. So I rebooted everything again, and voilà! 4 bars of 4G LTE instead of 1 bar of 5G! Great! Then I left the house for a few hours, and, whah-whah-whah, won’t connect again. Seems legit, except I have my own router, and there ain’t no restrictions. ![]() They finally told me I had to contact my ISP, because there may be restrictions on my Wi-Fi router. About the only thing I could understand was the 2000 times the “service professional” said “We’re sorry”. Before I called tech center, I did all the usual reboot this and that stuff, to no avail. Set up was straightforward, but it wouldn’t connect to my phone.
